On the subject of smoking.........

Tokyo has a campaign against smoking in the streets and I kind of liked this one.....I relate to it right now( due to the sick non-smoking boyfriend!)GIVE ME STREGNTH .........another xciggie and a glass of wine and a quiet plaxce where I xcan just relax!..........(fuxck my keyboard too......) ............................................WAHHHHHH

If you think its bexcause I have susdsdenly got an attaxck of sdyslexia or some kinsd of spelling sdysfunxction....well SDAMN IT I havent!
My keyboarsd has sdecxisdesd to put an 's' in front of a 'd' and an 'x' before a 'c'......
I xcould of xcourse spend hours running through all my emails deleting the unnecxesarry xconsonants but damn it I have a sixck boyfriend who has given up smoking..........get my drift! Wondering exacxtly how muxch patienxce I have right now...........So forgive the spelling and well done if you xcan read this!

Hooley Doolies

Look at this!! I love it!! Its wonderful! Amazing ! A freak Of nature! (Well not so freakish I am sure ,a little shaped yes!)
You may all think that its genetically modified or that its got some 23 trillion chemicals in it to make it like this,but, to make it square (and we are just talking about the squareness here not the taste)there is nothing added.
Japan heralded this new technique in 2001 apparently to save room.Yes! the dimensions are those that would enable you to fit the damn thing in your fridge without taking up too much space! Its height is perfect to sit it on your fridge shelf .
To make a square water melon??? Well encase it in a glass box while its still on the vine and Voila!
I had the exciting honour of seeing one of these last summer and had to take a pic! It was mighty pricey tho! We were looking at 7 thousand yen for this puppy! Ha, a mere $70 or 50 pounds! I think I'll take 3 please! Oh and heres another interesting fact.The watermelon originates from Egypt and is believed to be about 5,000 years in history and makes an appearance in ancient hieroglyphics......rock on watermelons!!!

Giraffes in Shibuya

Shibuya. A thong of people.Young and old alike. Lights teeming .Pachinko machines blaring on every corner. Girls with makeup like pandas.Skin golden brown.Starbucks and Macdonalds wafting through the atmosphere,curling its way around the senses and grabbing hold of your wallet.Pedestrian crossings so daunting that you need valium to cross alive or risk being squashed as the man turns to green.Stick out the elbows take a deep breath and walk.The sounds of trains beeping and tooting as the yamanote leaves bound for Shinjuku,please mind the gap.The clip clip clip as turned in shoes make along the pavements............and a giraffe making its way slowly down the street looking each way.I think he lost his mummy.......but no-one stops to take a look or ask him if he's lost his way........most strange.Did I enter Alice in Wonderland or did I just leave?


(This really did happen..........I saw a small giraffe,stuffed of course walking down the street in Shibuya)

Its a sad fact that over here it gets rather chilly in the winter.We have supposedly passed the threshold of the coldest time of year and are swiftly moving onto the spring! Joy! Joy!!
I can exchange my winter woolies for more revealing and more fitting outfits,put away those thick and not so attractive socks ,pull out the sandals and feel a little less bound.......
......and so can all those little pooches too!I will be so glad to stop seeing little dogs walking around in Versace and Prada.It sickens me,no, in fact it bemuses AND bewonders me that people think that their little pet pooch with the oh so warm BUILT-IN coat needs Chanel..........Whats next?? Pet hamsters with Nike? Minor birds with microphones? Bunnies with ear warmers? ..........
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.........Now I am wondering..........theres money in that there idea!
