What??? In Tokyo???

Everyone who lives here in Japan knows that violence is something that doesnt happen that much. There are never loud and raucous outbursts or tense moments which may or may not end up in getting your head kicked in.Its a civilised Country with civilised individuals who dont like to stand out from the crowd or make a scene. Its a country about the whole and not the individual. They keep the peace.
Last night being Paddy day and all we decided to head to the dubliners, our local little Irish pub and sup a few bevvies!Much fun and revelry until a man came flying past us dashing out the door covered in blood! It didnt take long to discover that someone had hit him with a glass.Hmmmmmm..............very unusual event . So we continue to drink and ponder how unusual this is and then after a short trip to the loo..........Wheres Jonathan I think to myself?
Where did he go??
He is not hard to miss in all of his 2 meters..........but no sign?? I find the barman who is a friend of ours and ask him if he has seen Jonathan.
Erm yeah Sarah,he wasnt involved in the fight but he was trying to calm the assailant down outside while the police arrived..........Ah okay..........so where is he??? Bar man .........erm I dont know? Sarah............you dont know? Barman..............no..........sarah...oh dear this is not good.
My little mind running at a thousand miles an hour thinking in true adventure style that jonathan has been kidnapped or Beaten to a pulp and left in an alleyway somewhere. Its not something that I worry too much about usually. With his height he doesnt ever have a problem and he,s not a stick em up kinda guy.
It turns out the guy who had glassed the other fella had tried to do a runner and Jonathan went after him to bring him back to face the music ,the assailant turned and punched Jonathan in the face and ran off.Jonathan in hot pursuit followed him on the train for 15 minutes before he lost him. A nice effort I thought but 5 hours later an ambulance ride and two hospitals addaed to that a 70 thou bill and a compressed fracture in the nose and a very dubious looking eye I am not sure it was the best paddy day I ever had.
